ECHL: Atlanta Gladiators Announce 2024-2025 Schedule

The Atlanta Gladiators have released their schedule for the 2024-25 season with the theme #IgniteTheFury. It’s clear that the team is geared up to bring that fiery energy to the upcoming season. In fact, 72-game season will kick off against the Indy Fuel on Saturday, October 19th, at 7:00 p.m.

Atlanta will compete against various well-known South Division rivals, including the Florida Everblades, Greenville Swamp Rabbits, Jacksonville Icemen, Orlando Solar Bears, Savannah Ghost Pirates, and the South Carolina Stingrays.

  • The first division rivals they will face this season are the Florida Everblades, hosting the Gladiators for two consecutive games in October before they head to Atlanta for the third in that three-game series.
  • The Gladiators will play against the Florida Everblades a total of seven times this season, the least amount of all of their divisional rivals.
  • The Greenville Swamp Rabbits will be the most frequent opponents, with thirteen games scheduled with the first game on Atlanta’s home in early November.
  • The Orlando Solar Bears will face the Gladiators ten times, starting with a game in Orlando in early November.
  • The South Carolina Stingrays will kick off their first of nine game matchups against the Atlanta Gladiators in early November.
  • The Savannah Ghost Pirates face the Gladiators ten times this season, the first of those happening at home in late November.

Additionally, the Gladiators will compete against seven opponents from other divisions, including the Bloomington Bison, Cincinnati Cyclones, Indy Fuel, Norfolk Admirals, Kalamazoo Wings, Toledo Walleye, and Worcester Railers. It was February 2020 when the Railers last faced the Atlanta Gladiators on their own home ice, where the Gladiators secured the victory in overtime. This season Worcester will head to Atlanta where they will faceoff against the Gladiators for the first time in nearly four years.

The ECHL has grown as two expansion teams have joined the ECHL for the 2024-25 season with the addition of the Bloomington Bison and the Tahoe Knight Monsters. The Bison will make their first journey to Atlanta in January 2025, and Atlanta will face the Knight Monsters on the road in March. The ECHL now encompasses 29 teams spanning 22 states and one Canadian province. This season’s game count marks the highest number of games played in the league since the 2003-04 season, when 31 teams participated in 1,116 games.
