ECHL: Atlanta Gladiators Future Considerations Deadline Recap 2024

The ECHL deadline to complete future consideration deals for last season resulted in a few updates to the Atlanta Gladiators roster. The Atlanta Gladiators have acquired the rights to Forward Chase Gresock from the Toledo Walleye, which finalized the trade that involved sending Defenseman Jacob Graves to Toledo. After being traded to Toledo, Jacob Graves participated in 13 regular season games, scoring one goal and providing four assists for a total of 5 points. During the postseason, Graves added 2 goals and 2 assists, accumulating 4 points in total for the Walleye.

Chase Gresock had an impressive performance last season for Toledo, scoring a total of 35 points through a combination of 16 goals and 19 assists. Additionally, he played a crucial role in the Walleye’s Kelly Cup Playoff journey, contributing to a decisive victory over the Wheeling Nailers. His first postseason goal not only help secure a win for the team but also propelled them into the Western Conference Finals to face off against the Kansas City Mavericks.

The Idaho Steelheads obtained the rights to Forward Brendan Hoffmann in a trade that complete the future considerations deal that sent Forward Parker Aucoin to Atlanta. Hoffmann, who had previously played 40 games with Atlanta, recorded 15 points from seven goals and eight assists. Prior to his time with the Gladiators, Hoffmann was with the Reading Royals and tallied nine points after 21 games in the 2023-24 season (2g, 7 a). The season prior to that had Hoffmann end with 32 points after 64 regular season games with the Royals (13g 19a). Hoffmann also earned three points with three goals in the Royals playoff run that season.

Meanwhile, after being traded to the Gladiators on March 20, 2024, Parker AuCoin participated in 10 games with Atlanta where he netted five goals, accumulating a total of five points. During his stint with the Steelheads, AuCoin competed in 11 games, achieving 10 points through three goals and seven assists. Notably, he maintained a clean record with no penalties incurred throughout the entirety of the 2023-2024 season.

The next deadline for the ECHL is this weekend with the season-ending rosters due to the league office no later than 3 PM EST on Saturday, June 22nd. The Atlanta Gladiators are scheduled to kick off their season at home with a game against the Indy Fuel on October 19, 2024, starting at 7 pm.
