ECHL: Atlanta Gladiators Get More Depth on the Blueline, Add Blake Evennou

The Atlanta Gladiators announced another off season signing on Monday, introducing 25-year-old defensemen Blake Evennou. This will be Evennou’s first foray into professional hockey after four years with the Ferris St. Bulldogs of the NCAA. Evennou may be considered undersized at 5’9″ 185 pounds, but where he lacks size, he certainly makes up for it with experience at the collegiate level. The Macomb, Michigan native played in 131 games while amassing 52 points (7G, 45A) in his time at Big Rapids. Evennou will see one familiar face, as he rejoins former Bulldog teammate Zach Yoder. The two played together in the 2019-20 season.

The Gladiators are now up to 15 signed players, with some key positions still needing filled. The Glads will also be holding a press conference August 29th to make announcement regarding their home, Gas South Arena. I will be on hand for the announcement and bringing all the news as it becomes available.
