The Nashville Predators announced today that defenseman Jeremy Hanzel and goaltender Ethan Haider have been reassigned from the Atlanta Gladiators to their AHL affiliate, the Milwaukee Admirals. Both players were significant contributors for Atlanta throughout the 2024–25 ECHL regular season and now join Milwaukee as the Admirals continue to make their push towards the Calder Cup playoffs.

The Admirals will open the 2025 Calder Cup Playoffs with back-to-back home games on Thursday, May 1 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, May 3 at 6 p.m. at UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena.

Jeremy Hanzel’s Strong Season on Gladiators’ Blue Line

Defenseman Jeremy Hanzel proved to be a consistent contributor to Atlanta’s defensive core throughout the 2024–25 ECHL season. Over 61 games with the Gladiators, Hanzel produced 22 points (3g, 19a) and accumulated 28 penalty minutes. Despite a challenging -24 rating, he provided reliable minutes and played a significant role on special teams, contributing one power-play goal and one game-winning tally while registering 103 shots on goal. Hanzel’s assignment to Milwaukee represents an important career step as he looks to establish himself permanently at the AHL level next season.

Ethan Haider Signs AHL Contract with Milwaukee

Goaltender Ethan Haider moves up to Milwaukee after delivering a solid performance in net for the Gladiators this season. Haider posted an 18-15-1 record, maintaining a goals-against average (GAA) of 3.17 across 2,116 minutes played. He allowed 112 goals in 36 games, proving dependable under pressure. Alongside his assignment, the Admirals announced that Haider has also signed a one-year AHL contract for the 2025–26 campaign, solidifying his continued development within the Predators organization.

Navrin Mutter Re-Signs with Nashville

Nashville Predators General Manager Barry Trotz also announced last week that forward Navrin Mutter has signed a one-year, two-way contract with Nashville for 2025–26. Mutter spent significant time with Atlanta last season, recording 11 points (5g-6a) and 63 penalty minutes in 33 ECHL games before adding six points (1g-5a) and 62 penalty minutes in 26 games with Milwaukee. This season, Mutter appeared in 36 AHL games, tallying four points (1g-3a) and 87 penalty minutes. Undrafted, Mutter played 217 OHL games from 2017 to 2020, notably posting 20 points (8g-12a) and 107 penalty minutes in 2019–20 with Hamilton.
