With the season about to kick off in a 27 days, the Atlanta Gladiators took some time out with fans today as they hosted a bowling event for season ticket holders at Stars and Strikes in Dacula, GA. In attendance at the event were Head Coach Derek Nesbitt and Assistant Head Coach Matt Ginn, who were accompanied by their family members and a few close friends, all of whom added a fun atmosphere to the gathering.

In addition to the coaches, a number of staff members from the team’s front office were also in attendance. Among them was the beloved team mascot, Maximus, who as usual brought an extra dose of energy and fun to the occasion. Maximus didn’t just stand on the sidelines; he actively participated in the festivities, moving from lane to lane in a spirited attempt to achieve a strike of his own. His playful antics and enthusiastic interactions with the attendees not only delighted the crowd but also infused the event with a sense of joy and celebration. The combination of the staff’s presence and Max’s engaging involvement truly elevated the overall spirit of the event, making it an fun experience for everyone involved.

The youngest attendees at the event undoubtedly had the best time, fully enjoying a fun afternoon. Among them was Coach Nesbitt’s son, Declan, who took to the lanes with enthusiasm and managed to knock down several bowling pins, with cheers erupting. His joyful triumphs were often a highlight, drawing smiles from those around him. The grown-ups got in to the action too and each time a bowler achieved a strike or a spare, spectators erupted into enthusiastic applause. High fives were exchanged frequently, as friends and family celebrated each other’s successes, fostering a sense of community and shared joy throughout the event.

We often find ourselves engaged in spirited discussions about various game strategies, analyzing every play and contemplating the best approaches for upcoming opponents. Today, however, provided a wonderful opportunity for the team and their dedicated fans to come together. On this beautiful fall Sunday afternoon, they not only had time to celebrate their shared passion for the game but also had a few hearty laughs. It was a perfect reminder of the community spirit that makes our experience with the sport so much richer.

The 2024-25 season for the Atlanta Gladiators will begin on Saturday, October 19th at Gas South Arena, facing off against the Indy Fuel.
