Today, fans of the Atlanta Gladiators received more good news as Dylan Carabia and Michael Marchesan have been officially confirmed to return for the upcoming season. The team has announced that both players have re-signed with the squad and will be back on the ice for the 2024-25 season.

Dylan Carabia, a right-handed defenseman hailing from Belleair, Florida, is recognized for his outstanding defensive abilities and strong skating skills. He began his journey in hockey through youth programs in Florida and progressed to compete in the NAHL and USHL leagues during his junior career. He then continued his hockey career at Lake Superior State University in NCAA Division I. While at Lake Superior State University, Carabia participated in 100 games, scored five goals, made 25 assists, and accumulated 30 points across that span.

Carabia joined Atlanta after playing a season in the SPHL with the Pensacola Ice Flyers. During his time with the Ice Flyers, Carabia played 55 games, scoring 39 points (8 goals and 31 assists) and achieving a +16 rating. His performance earned him a spot on the SPHL All-Rookie Team for the 2021-22 season. Throughout the 2022-23 season, his debut as a Gladiator, Carabia amassed nine points (2 goals, 7 assists) in 55 games.

During the 2023-2024 season with the Atlanta Gladiators, Dylan Carabia played in 68 games, scoring a goal, making four assists, and totaling five points. Earlier this month, Carabia and teammate Zach Yoder competed in the Australian International Ice Hockey Cup. Carabia emerged as the tournament’s top point scorer, achieving a total of 18 points from five goals and 13 assists, leading in assists as well.

Originally hailing from Burlington, Ontario, Michael Marchesan is a left-shooting forward who embarked on his junior hockey journey with the Pelham Panthers in the GOJHL from 2018 to 2020, later transitioning to the Hamilton Kilty B‘s. His career took an impressive turn during the 2022-23 season when he donned the jersey of the Danbury Hat Tricks in the FPHL, showcasing his prowess by netting 34 goals and providing 24 assists in just 46 games. His exceptional performance continued into the playoffs, where he notched eight goals and clinched the coveted MVP award for the FPHL postseason.

Marchesan signed with the Atlanta Gladiators for the 2023-24 season, playing in 58 games and recording 12 goals, 10 assists, and 52 penalty minutes. By the end of the season, he ranked fifth among his teammates in total points, a significant achievement for his debut season with Atlanta.

Carabia and Marchesan will take to the ice with the Gladiators as they start the 2024-25 season on Saturday, October 19th, at Gas South Arena, when they faceoff against the Indy Fuel.
