The Atlanta Gladiators have recently traded defenseman Blake Evennou to the Reading Royals in exchange for forward Brendan Hoffmann. Evennou, who was signed to an SPC by the Gladiators during the off-season, has posted nine points (1G, 8A) in 23 games during his time with the team.
The Gladiators have traded Blake Evennou for 22-year-old forward, Hoffmann, who originates from Charlotte, NC. Hoffmann, standing at 6’3″ and 223 pounds, had an impressive debut professional season with the Royals, where he scored 32 points (13G, 19A) in 64 games. Additionally, he scored three goals in the Kelly Cup Playoffs. Before joining the Royals, Hoffmann played for the Erie Otters in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) for four seasons. During his time with the Otters, he played 189 games, scored 44 goals with 30 assists, and earned a total of 74 points.
The Milwaukee Admirals have loaned back goaltender Gustavs Grigals to the Gladiators. Grigals has competed in 16 games with the Gladiators, with a GAA of 3.30 and a current save percentage of .905.
Additionally, forward Connor Casparie has been released from the team. Connor Casparie played in 16 teams while with the Gladiators and had recently come off injured reserve.
The Gladiators are set to play the Florida Everblades at 7 PM on Wednesday, January 3rd at Gas South Arena.
