ECHL: Atlanta Gladiators’ Roster Changes | 01/04/2024

As part of the trade agreement between the Gladiators and Kalamazoo Wings, defenseman Robert Calisti has been loaned to Atlanta from the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League. Calisti, a 22-year-old from Toronto, has participated in 23 games this season with Kalamazoo, amassing 12 points (four goals and eight assists). In the previous season, he played in a combined 57 games between the Florida Everblades (42 games played, 10 goals, 12 assists, 22 points) and the Kalamazoo Wings (15 games played, 2 goals, 8 assists, 10 points).

Before joining the AHL, Calisti spent four seasons (2017-2022) as part of the Soo Greyhounds in the OHL. Over this period, he showcased his talents, scoring 41 goals and providing 7 assists across 195 games. During the 2021-2022 season, Calisti played a pivotal role in leading the SOO Greyhounds to the playoffs, where he featured in 10 games and contributed 1 goal and 5 assists.

The Atlanta Gladiators will have a busy schedule for the upcoming weekend. It begins with a rematch against the Florida Everblades at 7:30 PM on Friday. On Saturday evening, they will face the South Carolina Stingrays in a divisional match at 6:05 PM. Wrapping up the weekend will be the matchup on Sunday afternoon with the Jacksonville Icemen, who will visit the Gas South Arena for a 3:00 PM puck drop.
