Announced yesterday, the Greenville Swamp Rabbits have re-signed right-shot forward Austin Saint for the 2025-26 season. After a full rookie year in Greenville, Saint is set to return with more experience and offensive upside heading into his second ECHL campaign.
From RMC to the ECHL
Saint put up strong numbers during his collegiate career. In his final season at RMC (2023-24), he scored 18 goals and 15 assists for 33 points in 28 games, racking up 60 penalty minutes. He also spent two seasons in the AJHL with the Bonnyville Pontiacs, where he developed into a reliable two-way forward.
A Full Rookie Season in Greenville
Saint made the leap to pro hockey in 2023-24 following a standout college career at the Royal Military College. He joined Greenville late that season, appearing in eight games and posting four goals and one assist for five points with a +7 rating.
In 2024-25, Saint returned to the Swamp Rabbits full-time, skating in 60 games. He finished the year with 12 goals and 14 assists for 26 points, while adding 42 penalty minutes. His blend of speed and physicality gave the team a boost in key moments throughout the season.
“I feel more confident in my game,” Saint said. “I know what to expect and how to prepare.” (Greenville Swamp Rabbits, 2025).
What’s Next?
With a full ECHL season under his belt, Saint is expected to play a larger role in Greenville’s offense as they open the 2025-26 season at home on Friday, October 17th, 2025, against the Utah Grizzlies. Puck drop is set for 7:05 PM EDT at Bon Secours Wellness Arena.
