
The Kalamazoo Wings have announced that they’ve re-signed forward Blake Christensen for the 2025-26 season. Christensen, 29, began last season with the Tahoe Knight Monsters, where he put up three goals and five assists for eight points in 14 games before being traded to Kalamazoo for future considerations. The Coral Springs, Florida, native would put seven goals and 14 assists for 21 points in 28 games with the K-Wings, and finished the season with a career-high 29 points. Christensen is just the second forward and third player signed by Kalamazoo for the 2025-26 season.
Christensen began his pro career in Norway, where he played in 10 games with Manglerud. Christensen put up four goals and five assists for nine points. He began his North American career in the ECHL with the Worcester Railers. Christensen put up 26 goals and 25 assists for 51 points in 71 games over the course of two seasons. He has two goals in 21 games in the AHL with the Bakersfield Condors and Springfield Thunderbirds. Christensen didn’t play at all during the 2023-24 season.
“Coming back to Kalamazoo was a very easy decision for me,” Christensen said. “I love how our group came together with a strong second half last season, and I’m excited to see what our core can do with a full season together. The passion that the fans bring to the arena every game is contagious – I am proud & honored to put the K-Wings jersey on next season.”

Before going pro, Christensen would spend four years at the NCAA level with American International College. In 142 games with the Yellow Jackets, he would put up 48 goals and 71 assists for 119 points. The 2018-19 season would be a year to remember for Christensen as he put up 16 goals and 31 assists for 47 points in 41 games. He would be named the AHA Scoring Champion, as well as being named to the AHA First All-Star Team, as the Yellow Jackets captured the AHA Championship. Christensen also walked away with a Second All-American Team (East) nod. He would be named to the AHA First All-Star Team again in 2020.
