The Bloomington Bison have added two more forwards to their roster with the additions of Linus Hemstrom and Chongmin Lee. Both players will attend AHL training camp with the Hartford Wolf Pack. Bloomington now has 20 players signed for the upcoming season. I would expect these to be the last skaters signed by the Bison before they begin Training Camp next week. Bloomington has yet to sign a goaltender to an ECHL Contract.
Hemstrom, 20, joins the Bison after spending the past two seasons in the OHL with the Kingston Frontenacs, where he put up 35 goals and 58 assists for 93 points in 129 games. The Swedish forward would win a gold medal with Sweden in 2022 and later that year would put up one goal and four assists for five points in five games during the Hlinka Gretzky Cup, where Sweden would take home bronze. Hemstrom played with Jackson Stewart and Jake Murray during the 2022-23 season in Kingston.
Lee,25, spent last season in the Asia League, where he put up 18 goals and 23 assists for 41 points in 29 games while also winning the Asia League Championship with HL Anyang. The South Korean would play parts of four seasons in the BCHL with the Prince George Spruce Kings, where he put up 22 goals and 40 assists for 62 points in 134 games. The Spruce Kings would win the BCHL Championship in 2019. Lee would then spend two years in Sweden before joining the Asia League.
