The Bloomington Bison announced on Tuesday that they have acquired forward P.J Fletcher from the Atlanta Gladiators in exchange for future considerations.
Fletcher, 23, has played 18 games this season with the Gladiators, recording four points (one goal, three assists) and eight penalty minutes.
Originally from Dana Point, California, Fletcher played 36 games last season with Miami University (Ohio), where he tallied 23 points. He co-led the team with 11 goals and was second in assists with 12. After his collegiate season, Fletcher turned professional and appeared in three games with the Florida Everblades.
The 6-foot-2, 201-pound forward has skated in 137 career NCAA games between Miami University (Ohio) and Quinnipiac University, amassing 68 points (24 goals, 44 assists).
The Bison expect Fletcher to bring his scoring ability and physical presence to the team, contributing both offensively and defensively. Fletcher’s addition to the Bloomington Bison is expected to enhance the team’s depth and provide additional scoring options. With his size and physicality, he brings a strong presence on the ice, which can be beneficial in both offensive and defensive situations. Fletcher’s versatility will allow the team to utilize him in various roles. While his current stats show some room for improvement, his past performance suggests he has the potential to contribute significantly to the team’s success. Overall, Fletcher is anticipated to be a valuable addition as the Bison aim to improve their standings.
The Bloomington Bison will be playing against Fort Wayne on Friday, December 13th at 7:00 PM CST. They will then face Toledo on Saturday, December 14th at 7:00 PM CST.
