
The Norfolk Admirals have re-signed forward Brandon Osmundson for the 2025-26 season. In his first full season in the ECHL, he put up 18 goals and 19 assists for 37 points in 65 games. Osmundson got off to a hot start this season with 10 points. In his first 10 games. He would add four goals and an assist for five points in nine games during the Kelly Cup Playoffs. Osmundson is the third signing and the first forward to join the 2025-26 roster.
The Chesapeake, Virginia, native began his career at the end of the 2022-23 season, playing in two games with the Knoxville Ice Bears. The following year, he would begin the year in the SPHL with the Huntsville Havoc, where he had nine goals and four assists for 13 points in 16 games before signing with the Admirals. Osmundson would add two goals and two assists for four points in eight games during the 2024 Kelly Cup Playoffs.
It was a full-circle moment for Osmundson, as he was part of the Hampton Road Whalers’ Learn to Play program. Both of his parents were season ticket holders when Osmundson was a kid.
“We brought in Brandon to supply a spark and fourth-line depth in the middle of the 2023-24 season,” said Jeff Carr, Admirals General Manager & Head Coach. “Ever since his first shift, he’s gotten stronger and more confident to the point of playing up-and-down our lineup in any top-nine role, as well as being a key part of our top penalty kill unit.”

Prior to going pro, the 26-year-old forward played his college hockey at Utica University. He would put up 37 goals and 81 assists for 118 points in 97 games. Osmundson won the UCHC Rookie of the Year award in 2020 and was named to the UCHC Second All-Conference in 2020 and 2022. The Pioneers won three UCHC Championships while Osmundson was a part of the team.
