ECHL Breaking News: Wheeling Nailers vs Fort Wayne Komets Game Postponed

Stacey Gramlich/InsideTheRink

The Wheeling Nailers have announced that tomorrow’s game vs Fort Wayne Komets has been postponed due to flooding in the area of WesBanco Arena. There have been a handful of postponements this season in the ECHL, but this is the first postponement for each of these two teams, as the Komets have taken five of the first seven meetings this year between the two teams. The Nailer currently hold a three-point lead on the Komets for the fourth and final Kelly Cup Playoff spot in the Central Division, but the Komets have two games in hand. Fort Wayne and Wheeling will now play the eighth and final game of their season series next Wednesday, April 10th, in Wheeling at 7:10 EST. Wheeling’s game against the Indy Fuel on Sunday is still expected to be played as puck drop for that game is scheduled for 4:10 PM EST.
