The Nottingham Panthers have secured a major offensive addition for the 2025–26 EIHL season, signing forward Brendan Harris. The 29-year-old playmaker moves overseas after carving out a highly productive career in the ECHL.
Professional Experience
Harris arrives in Nottingham following four seasons in the ECHL, where he became a key offensive driver for the Jacksonville Icemen. Last season, he recorded 43 points (13G, 30A) in 44 games with Jacksonville and added three assists in four playoff appearances. In 2023–24, he reached career-best numbers with 66 points (21G, 45A) in 66 games, cementing himself as one of the league’s most consistent offensive producers.
His journey also included time with the Wheeling Nailers and three games on loan with the Cleveland Monsters in the AHL. Across 164 career ECHL games, Harris has posted 61 goals and 128 assists for 189 points—showcasing both his scoring ability and playmaking vision.
NCAA and Junior Career
Before turning pro, Harris played four seasons at Bemidji State University (NCAA), where he contributed 66 points in 104 career games. His strong two-way play and ability to create chances stood out in a competitive WCHA conference.
At the junior level, Harris excelled with the Wenatchee Wild in the BCHL, where he became one of the league’s top players. He earned the Most Valuable Player (Vern Dye Memorial Trophy), Top Scorer (Brett Hull Trophy), and Most Assists awards in 2016–17, capping off an outstanding junior career before moving to the NCAA ranks.
What He Brings to Nottingham
Harris brings speed, vision, and offensive creativity to the Panthers’ forward group. At 5’9” and 161 pounds, he uses quickness and hockey IQ to generate offense both as a setup man and a scorer. His ability to play center or wing gives Nottingham flexibility, while his track record of consistency suggests he will transition well to the EIHL.
