The Jacksonville Icemen have announced the return of forward Brody Crane for the 2025–26 season. The 21-year-old winger returns for his second professional year after an encouraging rookie season with Jacksonville in 2024–25.

Rookie Impact in Year One

Crane skated in 66 games for the Icemen last season, recording 14 goals and 13 assists for 27 points along with a +4 rating and 30 penalty minutes. While he was held off the scoresheet during the postseason, he brought energy and tenacity to Jacksonville’s forward group. He earned consistent minutes in his first year at the pro level.

Known for his speed, physicality, and willingness to drive the net, Crane showed flashes of offensive upside and solid two-way instincts throughout his rookie campaign.

OHL Background and Development

Before turning pro, Crane played four seasons in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), including time with the London Knights, Guelph Storm, and Niagara IceDogs. His most productive OHL season came in 2022–23, where he posted 42 points in 68 games with London and added 5 points in 21 playoff games.

Over his junior career, Crane totaled 108 points in 195 OHL games, bringing a well-rounded foundation into the professional ranks.

What Crane Brings to the Icemen

At 6’1” and 192 pounds, Crane plays a physical, north-south game with scoring ability and a developing defensive presence. As he enters his second year with Jacksonville, the Icemen will look for him to take another step forward—both in terms of offensive production and his role within the team’s forward depth.

Crane’s return adds another young, motivated player to a Jacksonville roster aiming to build on its strong 2024–25 campaign. He joins a group of returning forwards that includes Garrett Van Wyhe, a versatile two-way center entering his third season with the club, and Christopher Brown, the Icemen’s all-time leading scorer, who signed on for his sixth season in Jacksonville earlier this month.
