Thomson will join Conner Roulette in Saskatchewan. Roulette spent last year with the Tulsa Oilers. He becomes the second player to leave the Steelheads after Patrick Kudla opted to head overseas.

Bryan Thomson, 23, spent two seasons with the Steelheads in the ECHL, despite being on an AHL Deal with the Texas Stars. In 60 games with Idaho, he went 31-18-5 with a 3.07 GAA, and .906SV%. He would play in seven games during the 2024 Kelly Cup Playoffs, putting up a record of 3-1-1 with a 3.24 GAA and .906SV%.

“It is super exciting [joining the Huskies], seeing everything the team accomplished last season, it’s a great organization to be joining,” said Thomson. “Knowing I’m getting a good education from a such a high caliber university and getting to play close to home certainly made my decision easier as well.”
