The Florida Everblades have re-signed forward Carson Gicewicz for the 2025-26 season. The 6’3″ center from Orchard Park, New York, was a standout for Florida last year, tallying 55 points (28G, 27A) in 66 regular-season games and serving as an alternate captain.

Impressive Numbers and Proven Production

Gicewicz’s 2024–25 campaign with Florida was the most productive of his pro career. He finished with a +32 rating in the regular season and seven points in 11 playoff games, helping anchor the Everblades’ deep postseason push.

Gicewicz has developed into a physical force with a scoring touch. Whether posting up in front of the net or killing penalties, he’s the kind of two-way player opposing teams need to plan around. His versatility and leadership earned him the letter last year, and he’s expected to play a significant role again this season.

Across his ECHL career, Gicewicz has also suited up for the Atlanta Gladiators, totaling 27 points in 43 games during the 2023–24 season. His time in the AHL includes stints with the Milwaukee Admirals, Rockford IceHogs, and Rochester Americans, where he combined for 116 appearances and 26 points over three seasons.

A Champion Before Turning Pro

Before signing his first pro contract, Gicewicz helped lead UMass to the 2021 NCAA National Championship. He tallied 24 points in 28 games that season, including a game-winning goal during the tournament. He also won a Hockey East Championship with UMass and previously served as captain during his early NCAA years at St. Lawrence University.

Florida’s early playoff exit in 2025 marked the end of a dynasty, but Gicewicz’s return signals a push for a new run for the Kelly Cup. With Gicewicz’s combination of size, leadership, and scoring touch, he’ll be a cornerstone for a reloaded Everblades roster heading into October.

Opening Game on the Road

The Everblades kick off their 2025–26 campaign on the road against the Orlando Solar Bears on Friday, October 17, followed by their home opener hosting the Solar Bears at Hertz Arena on Saturday, October 18 at 7:00 p.m.
