ECHL: Cole Donhauser Returns to Worcester

The Worcester Railers have announced that they’ve re-signed forward Cole Donhauser for the 2025-26 season. In his first full season in the ECHL, Donhauser put up 10 goals and 19 assists for 29 points, along with 92PIMs in 71 games. Donhauser would lead all rookies in the shorthanded assists (3) and shorthanded points (5). The Railers would finish the season with nine shorthanded goals.

All four signings by the Railers so far have been forwards.

The Kenmore, NY, native began his pro career overseas playing in the EIHL with the Coventry Blaze. He would have two assists in seven games during the regular season but had a goal and three assists in six games during the EIHL Cup. The 27-year-old forward returned to North America and finished the season in the ECHL. He would put up two goals and five assists for seven points in 14 games with the Idaho Steelheads and Greenville Swamp Rabbits. All of his points would come with Greenville after being acquired in a trade after spending just two games with the Steelheads.

“For me last year, the second half I had felt like I really started to find my game,” Donhauser said. “I’m really hoping to keep that going into this year and have a better start to the season both as a team and individually.”

Junior and College Career

Prior to going pro, Cole Donhauser would spend a year in the BCHL with the Chilliwack Chiefs. He would put up 17 goals and 25 assists in 42 games and would add three goals and two assists in five playoff games.

Donhauser would then take the NCAA route, playing three years at Yale. In 80 games with the Bulldogs, he would put up 12 goals and 18 assists for 30 points.
