Forward Collin Adams is heading overseas to Slovakia after spending three seasons in the ECHL with the Worcester Railers and Kalamazoo Wings; Adams was originally a sixth-round pick by the New York Islanders in 2016. Prior to going pro, the Michigan native spent four seasons at the University of North Dakota, where he would put up 33 goals and 44 assists for 77 points in 122 games with the Fighting Hawks. Adams would sign a two-year entry-level deal with the Islanders in April of 2022 and would spend most of the 2022-23 season with the Bridgeport Islanders, where he’d put up five points and six assists for 11 points in 45 games along with seeing action in two Calder Cup Playoff games. He would also play in 10 games with the Worcester Railers, putting up three goals and four assists for seven points.
The 26-year-old forward began the following season with the Worcester Railers, playing in 30 games and putting up 14 goals and 18 assists in 32 games. Adams was also named to the ECHL All-Star Game in 2023. He would finish the season with the Bridgeport Islanders, playing 20 games, where he put up three goals and four assists for seven points in what would be his last game in the Islanders organization. Adams would spend the 2023-24 season with the Kalamazoo Wings, playing in 64 games where he would put up 22 goals and 21 assists for 43 points. He added two assists during the opening round of the Kelly Cup Playoffs as the Wings would get swept by the Toledo Walleye.
