
The South Carolina Stingrays have announced that they’ve re-signed defenseman Connor Moore for the 2025-26 season. Moore is coming off a career year with the Stingrays, where he put up 10 goals and 30 assists for 40 points in 65 games. He would put up one goal and two assists for three points in four games during the 2025 Kelly Cup Playoffs. Moore is the second defenseman and third player to sign with South Carolina for the 2025-26 season.
Connor Moore, 28, has spent his entire five-year career with the Stingrays putting up 24 goals and 120 assists for 144 points in 278 games. The Cumming, Georgia, native would be named to the ECHL All-Star Game in 2024. He would finish the 2023-24 season with six goals and 29 assists for 35 points in 68 games. Moore has a goal and three assists for four points in nine career Kelly Cup Playoff Games. He’s currently the longest-tenured Stingray. He’s also worn an “A” on his chest in each of the last three seasons with the Rays.
“I’m excited to be back in Charleston for another season with the Stingrays,” Moore said. “This year is especially meaningful as I return not just as a player, but also as a new dad. I’m looking forward to getting back on the ice and seeing the best fans in the league at the North Charleston Coliseum.”

Prior to going pro, Moore spent parts of three seasons in the USHL with the Youngstown Phantoms. In 63 games with the Phantoms, he would put up eight goals and 27 assists for 35 points. Moore would then take the NCAA route, playing four years at Boston College. In his four years with the Eagles, he put up nine goals and 35 assists for 45 points in 139 games. The Eagles won two Hockey East Championships (2018 and 2020) during Moore’s four-year tenure.
