The Jacksonville Icemen announced today that Craig Martin is returning to the team for the 2025-26 season. Known for his offensive production and veteran presence, Martin brings both leadership and consistency back to the Icemen lineup.

Martin’s Career So Far

Martin is no stranger to Jacksonville fans. Last season, he spent the year overseas with the Manchester Storm in the EIHL, where he tallied 13 goals and 30 assists for 43 points in 49 games.

Before heading to the UK, Martin had a long history with Jacksonville, including standout performances in 2021-22, when he posted 25 goals and 35 assists for 60 points in 66 games, followed by 34 points in 32 games during the 2022-23 campaign. That same season, he led the Icemen in playoff scoring with 13 points in 12 games.

Martin also had stints with HC Presov, the Adirondack Thunder, and a brief AHL appearance with the Charlotte Checkers. Prior to his pro career, he played four years at Quinnipiac University, recording 30 points in 38 games as a junior.

What’s Next?

The Icemen will look to Martin for leadership as they aim to build on last season’s success. His scoring touch and chemistry with Jacksonville’s returning core could make him a key factor in the team’s playoff push.

Jacksonville will kick off the new season on Saturday, October 18th, 2025, when they travel to face the Greensboro Gargoyles at First Horizon Coliseum with puck drop set for 7:00 p.m. EDT. The Icemen will return home for their home opener on Friday, November 7th, when they host the Atlanta Gladiators at 7:00 PM.
