
The Worcester Railers have signed defenseman Darien Kielb for the 2025-26 season. Kielb, 26, spent last season in the EIHL with the Glasgow Clan, putting up two goals and 10 assists for 12 points in 46 games. He would also see action in two playoff games. The Hamilton, Ontario, native finished the 2023-24 season in Slovakia, where he had a goal and two assists for three points in 11 games. He would add a goal in five playoff games in Slovakia. Kielb is the third new blueliner to join the Railers roster the offseason.
Prior to heading overseas, Darien Kielb spent parts of three seasons in the ECHL, primarily with the Fort Wayne Komets, where he had eight goals and 23 assists for 31 points. He would add two goals and five assists for seven points in seven games during the 2023 Kelly Cup Playoffs. Kielb would be traded to Maine in December of 2023. He would put up one goal and two assists before heading overseas.
Kielb also saw time in the AHL with the Laval Rocket and Bakersfield Condors. He would put up four goals and nine assists for 13 points in 38 games in the AHL. Kielb also played in two Calder Cup Playoffs with the Condors in 2022.
Junior and College Career
Prior to going pro, Kielb spent time in the QMJHL and USports. During his four years in the QMJHL with the Quebec Remparts and Gatineau Olympiques, he would put up 26 goals and 78 assists for 104 points in 249 games. He would also see action in nine QMJHL Playoff games. The 6’3 defenseman would play 16 games with Dalhousie University before going pro. He would put up four goals and seven assists for 11 points with the Tigers.
