Goaltender David Tendeck is heading overseas to play in the EIHL with the Manchester Storm. This will be his first time playing overseas. He played in two games this season with the Florida Everblades, where he went 1-0-1 with a 2.31 GAA and .902SV%. Tendeck has not lost an ECHL game in regulation since January 3rd, 2023. This doesn’t come as much of a surprise as he’s bounced around the league throughout his career, and the Everblades already have Cam Johnson and Will Cranley between the pipes.
Prior to playing in the ECHL, the North Vancouver native spent five seasons in the WHL with the Vancouver Giants, where he put up a record of 72-54-10 with a 2.96 GAA, .905SV%, and ten shutouts. He would be named to the WHL Second All-Star team during the 2017-18 season, in which he went 25-16-5 with a 3.02 GAA, .912SV%, and three shutouts. Tendeck, 25, spent parts of five seasons in the ECHL as he spent time with Rapid City Rush, Atlanta Gladiators, Wheeling Nailers, Idaho Steelheads, and Florida Everblades. In 91 games at the ECHL level, he put up a record of 35-44-6 with a 3.30 GAA, .898SV%, and four shutouts. Last season he played three games with the Everblades and was on their Kelly Cup Playoff roster as they went on to win their third straight Kelly Cup Championship. He also saw action in nine games at the AHL level with the Tuscon Roadrunners, where he went 2-4-1 with a 2.64 GAA and .914SV%.
