The Florida Everblades have announced that forward Isaac Nurse has signed a standard player contract for the 2025–26 ECHL season. The 26-year-old returns to Estero after completing his first full year in the league, where he played a key depth role and made a strong impression during the team’s postseason run.
Nurse appeared in 47 regular-season games in 2024–25, posting 11 goals and 12 assists for 23 points, with a +22 rating and 28 penalty minutes. He added two goals and three assists over 15 playoff contests, contributing to Florida’s deep postseason push.
From Junior Leadership to University Titles
Before turning pro, the Hamilton, Ontario native had a standout junior career with the OHL’s Hamilton Bulldogs. He was part of their 2018 OHL Championship team and served as team captain in 2020. Nurse then moved on to the University of New Brunswick, where he helped guide the Reds to back-to-back U SPORTS national championships in 2023 and 2024. The 2024 UNB squad went a perfect 43–0 en route to the University Cup title.
Earning His Spot in Florida
Nurse joined the Everblades late in the 2023–24 season, appearing in five regular-season games and gaining valuable experience before taking on a larger role in 2024–25. His two-way play quickly earned the trust of the coaching staff.
Over two seasons, Nurse has now played in 52 regular-season games with Florida, totaling 11 goals and 12 assists. In the playoffs, he has added five points in 38 games, with consistent contributions in all situations.
Looking Ahead
Nurse returns to an Everblades roster focused on consistency and playoff success. His combination of championship experience, strong defensive instincts, and high competitive level makes him a valuable asset as Florida shapes its lineup for 2025–26.
