The Florida Everblades will begin their quest for their fourth consecutive Kelly Cup Championship tomorrow night as they face the Jacksonville Icemen. It’s a different-looking Everblades team, but once again, the team went out and re-loaded this season, and with one of the best coaches in ECHL History in Brad Ralph, the Everblades continue to be a Kelly Cup Contender.

Reserves/IR
Connor Doherty (D) (Reserve)- One of the bigger depth pieces signed by the Everblades will begin the season on reserve. Doherty, 31, is coming off an injury-shortened season where he only played in 36 games where he put up one goal and seven assists for eight points, along with 113 minutes in penalties. Despite being placed on reserve, it shouldn’t be long before we see Doherty on the ice as the Everblades begin the month of November with a three-in-four.
Andrew Fyten (F) (Reserve)- Fyten,26, is entering his third season with the Blades and has nine goals and 10 assists for 19 points in 42 games. As expected, Fyten will begin the season as one of the odd-man odd but will look to take advantage of any opportunity is he is able to get on a very skilled Everblades team.
David Tendeck (3-Day IR)- The 24-year-old goaltender seems to have finally found a home with the Everblades after spending time with three teams last season. In his three games with the Everblades, he went 3-0 with a .099GAA and .972SV%. This shouldn’t affect the Everblades much, as they only have one game this weekend. The North Vancouver native will be eligible to return with the Everblades raise their banner next Friday at home vs Atlanta Gladiators.
Isaac Nurse (14-Day IR)- The rookie forward is entering his first full season in the league after playing just five games with Florida at the end of the regular season. Prior to going pro, Nurse spent four years in the OHL with the Hamilton Bulldogs, where he put up 50 goals and 42 assists for 92 points in 221 games and won an OHL championship with Hamilton in 2018. He would then play three seasons at the University of New Brunswick, where he put up 24 goals and 17 assists for 41 points in 84 games as the Reds won back-to-back University Cup Championships.
Kyle Neuber (14-Day IR)- The Everblades will begin the season without one of their most physical players in Kyle Neuber as he will miss at least the first two weeks of the season with an undisclosed injury. Neuber has picked up at least 100+ Pims in each of his last three seasons with the Everblades. He is eligible to return on October 30th @ Atlanta.

Armand, the reality for David Tendeck is he will be the odd man out as long as goalies with entry level deals are sent down ie: Cranley regardless of how he plays. I expect David to be traded at some point which would be to bad for Florida. He needs to play games, if he expects to have an opportunity in the AHL again
