The Florida Everblades have announced that they have re-signed forward Jesse Lansdell for the 2024-25 season. Lansdell joined the Everblades late in the season after finishing up his collegiate career, which included four years at the University of Notre Dame and his final year of eligibility at the University of Nebraska-Omaha In 176 games at the NCAA level, Lansdell put up 22 goals and 45 assists for 67 points. The 25-year-old would play parts of five seasons in the BCHL with the Chilliwack Chiefs and the Vernon Vipers, where he put up 47 goals and 94 assists for 141 points in 198 games; he would second on the team in penalty minutes in 2017-18 (106) and led the team in PIMS the following season (65) showing that he isn’t afraid of playing physical.
Lansdell would play in six games with the Everblades at the end of the regular season, putting up two goals. He would add four assists along with 41 penalty minutes while playing in all 23 Kelly Cup Playoff Games with Florida en route to their third straight Kelly Cup Championship. There’s a lot to like about the signing of Lansdell as he proved to be one of those players that loves to get under opponents skin and despite being just 5’11 isn’t afraid to throw his body around. There’s no doubt that Lansdell will be a really solid depth piece for the Blades on their bottom six heading into next season. Lansdell is the eighth Blades signing and sixth forward for the 2024-25 season.
