ECHL: Florida Everblades Re-Sign Rookie Forward

The Florida Everblades have re-signed rookie forward Reed Lebster, as the two sides have agreed to a standard player contract for the 2024-2025 season. Lebster, who will play his first full season as a member of the Everblades, played five games during the Everblades Kelly Cup Championship run.

Last season, prior to joining Florida, Lebster played his final collegiate season at Michigan State University after playing his first four years at the University of Massachusetts. During his time at the University of Massachusetts, Lebster played 112 games, scoring 28 goals while adding 29 assists for 57 points. During his year with the Spartans, he played 35 games, grabbing 19 points (6G,13A).

Prior to his collegiate days, the forward out of Grand Rapids, Michigan, played three years in the USHL with the Des Moines Buccaneers, where he played 171 games, scoring 43 goals, while tallying 37 assists from 2016-2019. His best season of his playing career came with the Buccaneers in the 18-19 season, where Lebster scored 25 goals and 22 assists in 62 games played that year.

The three-time defending champions have added a great forward to their roster as they will look to continue to make history as they will chase for their fourth straight Kelly Cup this upcoming season. In the 2020-21 and 21-22 seasons, Lebster won back-to-back NCAA (Hockey East) championships. Winning championships for Lebster is common for him as he also was part of the NCAA B1G championship last year, also winning the regular season. This addition should be able to bolster the Everblades who have signed on several stars already for this season.
