The Florida Everblades have made their second signing for the 2024-25 season official. Defenseman Jack Tucker has signed a standard player contract with the team after completing a three-year period playing for the University of Western Ontario. During his time with the Mustangs, Tucker amassed 22 points by netting five goals and contributing 17 assists in 57 games.
Originating from Tampa, Tucker has a background in the QMJHL, having played for the Moncton Wildcats, Acadie-Bathurst Titan, and the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies over three seasons. Throughout his 171 regular-season games in the QMJHL, Tucker accumulated 29 points, comprising four goals and 25 assists. Additionally, he contributed 16 points through assists alone in 54 matches with the OJHL’s Buffalo Junior Sabres.
Tucker’s background is particularly notable due to his family’s strong ties to hockey. His father, John Tucker, had a successful NHL career, playing a total of 656 games over 12 seasons for various teams such as the Buffalo Sabres, Washington Capitals, New York Islanders, and Tampa Bay Lightning.
Jack Tucker will begin his professional hockey journey with the Everblades, debuting against the Jacksonville Icemen on October 19th at 7 PM as they kick off their season away.
