The Florida Everblades have announced that they’ve signed defenseman Kris Myllari to a contract for the 2024-25 season. Myllari will be entering his fifth season in the ECHL, where he’s scored 30 goals and 85 assists for 115 points in 275 regular-season games with the Utah Grizzlies, Kansas City Mavericks, and Allen Americans and has played in 216 consecutive regular-season games. He has added four goals and five assists for nine points in 26 Kelly Cup Playoff games, all coming as a member of the Americans. The 27-year-old defenseman is coming off a career year in which he put up 11 goals and 37 assists for 48 points and would be named to the 2024 All-Star Classic in Savannah. Myllari becomes the second member of the 2023-24 Allen Americans team to join the Everblades after they signed Colton Hargrove in late July. For the Everblades, Myllari becomes the eighth defenseman signed to a contract for the 2024-25 season and there’s no doubt that Myllari will be a guy who will play top pairing minutes and will be a big part of the Everblades PP after he led the Americans with 28 points on the PP last season.
Prior to going pro, the Kanata, Ontario native played two years in the USHL with the Youngstown Phantoms, where he scored six goals and added 28 assists for 34 points in 116 games. He then spent four years at the NCAA level with Penn State, where he scored 19 goals and 43 assists for 62 points in 149 games. He won a B1G championship with the team in his first season and a B1G regular-season championship in his final year with the Nittany Lions.
