The Florida Everblades traded two players for future considerations Tuesday.
25-year-old Anchorage, Alaska native Cam Hausinger was traded to the Indy Fuel. Hausinger signed his first professional contract with the Wheeling Nailers in 2021. He played 87 games for the Nailers, recording 26 goals and 62 points. He played ten games in the AHL, five for the Milwaukee Admirals and Iowa Wild. He signed with the Everblades at the beginning of the current season and played in 45 games, scoring five goals and six assists. His decline in offensive production made him expendable as the Everblades have dropped off in scoring from their previous two Kelly Cup-winning seasons.
Defenseman Justin MacPherson, 23, was traded to the Kansas City Mavericks. MacPherson signed his professional contract with the Everblades on March 6. MacPherson and defenseman Adrien Bisson were signed to fill shortages on the Everblades’ blueline due to call-ups and injuries. When Cole Moberg and Zach Uens were reassigned to the Everblades on March 8, MacPherson became the odd man out, which culminated in his trade yesterday
