ECHL: Frank Hora Headed Overseas

Per Elite Prospects and the HC Banska Bystrica press release, Frank Hora is heading overseas to Slovakia. After spending time in Greenville over the last three seasons, starting in 2020. Frank Hora will be heading overseas to play in Slovakia. In the Tipos Extraliga. Joining the HC (hockey club) Banska Bystrica. Hora will be joining a team that made the playoffs last year before losing in the quarterfinals. At this time, Hora will be the only American-born player. However, at this point of writing, three Canadian players are on the roster, so he won’t be the only player from North America.

Frank Hora was born June 1, 1996, in Cheektowaga, New York. Making the defensemen 27 years old. Hora is currently listed at 6’1 203 pounds. Hora has spent parts of the last three seasons in Greenville, playing in 71 games during the 2020-2021 season. Statistically, this season was Hora’s best during his career in the ECHL, where he had 22 points, six coming from goals and 16 being assists. Hora would spend the next two seasons bouncing up and down between the ECHL and the AHL. In the 2021-2022 season, Hora spent eight games with the Swamp Rabbits before moving up to the AHL, playing 42 games for the Syracuse Crunch, where he had seven points. Hora also played in five playoff games for the Crunch that year.

Like the previous season, Hora spent time in the ECHL with the Swamp Rabbits along with the San Diego Gulls of the AHL. Hora played in 22 games for the Swamp Rabbits this past season (2022-2023), adding nine points. For the Gulls, he played in 14 games with two points.
