Jacksonville Icemen News & Notes:

Jacksonville has accumulated a staggering 90 penalty minutes, far exceeding Atlanta’s 63. In the game against Orlando, both the Icemen and the Solar Bears had players receiving 10-minute misconducts for roughing, continuing altercations and other infractions. Jacksonville has also been outshot in just about every game this season, including the recent game against Orlando where they were outshot 32-30. The Icemen do demonstrate greater efficiency on the power play compared to Atlanta. Defensively, Jacksonville enjoys a minor edge in penalty kill percentages.

Atlanta Gladiators News & Notes:

The Gladiators currently hold the better overall record, having scored 13 goals compared to the Icemen’s eight. They have allowed more goals against them, with 20 conceded versus Jacksonville’s 14. Atlanta has accumulated 63 penalty minutes, and remain with the lowest in the league to date. The team holds a record of 2-0-2 in games decided by a single goal. Atlanta holds a slight advantage in total goals scored. Either way, Jacksonville’s special teams could potentially influence the outcome though Atlanta’s consistent scoring across more games might provide them with an advantage.
