The three-in-three series between the Adirondack Thunder and Worcester Railers shifted to Worcester for the second of the three-game series. Michael Bullion would get the start for the Railers on Saturday. The 27-year-old goaltender had struggled against Adirondack, giving up 17 goals in his three games against the Thunder this season. It would be a similar start from Friday Night with the Railers getting on the board early. Justin Gill extended his point streak to five games, finding the back of the net less than three minutes in. Worcester used that momentum to dominate the Thunder, holding them to just one shot in the first 13 minutes.

In the second, it would be an unlikely name that would double the Worcester Railers lead as Lincoln Hatten fed Tanner Schachle in front for his first of the season. For Schachle, it’s his first goal since March 15th, 2024, as a member of the Orlando Solar Bears. Shortly after the goal, Griffin Loughran had a great chance, but Henry Welsch would come up with a great save. Adirondack would get on the board at the 9:17 mark as Ian Pierce fired a shot from the blue line for his first career goal. Kaleb Ergang would tie the game up in the final minute of the second, cleaning up his own rebound. Adirondack and Worcester would head to the third period knotted up at two.

Heading into the third, the Railers were desperate to come out of this with two points, knowing the playoff implications. Henry Welsch and Michael Bullion both had solid games, but it would be a turnover that led to a Tyler Kobryn breakaway, which gave the Railers a 3-2 lead with just over five minutes left. Worcester would have to fight off a late push by the Thunder in the final minutes, but would come away with the 3-2 win. Adirondack and Worcester will wrap up the season series tomorrow afternoon in Worcester.
