The Savannah Ghost Pirates made an announcement on Wednesday regarding the signing of forwards Nick Granowicz and Kyle Jeffers to ECHL contracts for the upcoming 2024-25 season.
Granowicz, who had previously played five games for the Ghost Pirates after joining the team in April of 2024, managed to score three goals during his time with the team. Following a similar path as Jeffers, Granowicz opted for the NCAA route and spent four years at the University of Michigan before completing his final season at UMass-Lowell. Hailing from Macomb, MI, Granowicz had the won two conference titles with the Wolverines in 2021-22 and 2022-23.
Regarding Jeffers, the forward played in 19 games for the Ghost Pirates in the previous season, showcasing his scoring ability by netting six goals and providing four assists.
Originally from Oviedo, FL, Jeffers played collegiate hockey from 2021 to 2024, which included three seasons at Lindenwood University. During his time with the Lions, Jeffers accumulated 37 points in 54 games. He transitioned to the professional ranks on February 17th, marking his debut for Savannah against the Jacksonville Icemen.
The Ghost Pirates will launch their third ECHL season on October 18 at Enmarket Arena by hosting the Indy Fuel.
