On February 23rd, 2024, Henderson made the call and received two forwards to add strength to their numbers while dealing with NHL roster gaps.
Savannah answered by sending Alex Swetlikoff, a 22-year-old left-handed second-year veteran Forward, and Simon Pinard, a 22-year-old left-handed Forward in his Rookie season, to join the Silver Knights roster.
Swetlikoff has played 19 AHL games with three goals this season, adding to his ECHL season numbers of 20 games, eight goals, and nine assists. Pinard has played 11 AHL games with only one assist and 44 ECHL games with 18 goals, 18 assists, and 36 total points.
With 15 games left in the Silver Knights‘ and 15 in the Ghost Pirates season, we could still see more roster moves to assist with the AHL and its needs. However, we are approaching the trade deadline for the ECHL. Could this be the beginning of what we will see in trades for the Ghost Pirates?
