The Florida Everblades have added depth between the pipes, signing goaltender Logan Terness for the 2025-26 ECHL season.
BCHL Rookie of the Year to the Pros
Terness, 22, brings an impressive resume to Florida. The Burnaby, BC native earned BCHL Rookie of the Year honors with the Trail Smoke Eaters in 2019-20, posting a 27-10-4 record, a 2.36 GAA, and a .932 save percentage. He was outstanding in the playoffs that year, going a perfect 4-0 with a 0.73 GAA and a .970 save percentage.
NCAA Career
After his junior success, Logan Terness spent two seasons at the University of Connecticut, where he maintained strong numbers, including a 2.53 GAA and .913 save percentage in 2022-23. He then transferred to Ohio State University for his final two NCAA seasons, serving as the Buckeyes’ go-to starter in 2024-25 with a 12-10-1 record, 2.46 GAA, and .917 save percentage. Across his college career, Terness appeared in 70 games, recorded three shutouts, and posted a save percentage above .900 every season.
Next Stop: Florida
Known for his calm presence in the crease, quick reflexes, and ability to stay composed in high-pressure situations, Terness brings both poise and playoff experience to Florida. His history of strong postseason play in the BCHL and consistent NCAA production suggests he could be a key piece in the Everblades’ goaltending tandem.
The Everblades open their 2025-26 season on Friday, October 17, visiting the Orlando Solar Bears at Kia Center. Puck drop is set for 7:00 PM EDT.
