The Adirondack Thunder have announced that they’ve re-signed forward Grant Loven for the 2025-26 season. Loven, 27, began the 2024-25 season with the Fayetteville Marksmen, where he put up five goals and 10 assists for 15 points in 13 games. He would then join the Thunder, where he would put up 10 goals and 15 assists for 25 points in 57 games. There’s a lot to like about Loven as he’s one of those players who plays a strong all-around game. I wouldn’t be shocked if Loven finds his way into a role as the second or third line center this season. He’s the fifth forward to sign with Adirondack for the 2025-26 season.

In his first two years pro, Loven spent the majority of the time in the SPHL with the Marksmen. He would put up 19 goals and 38 assists for 57 points in 58 games. In five postseason games with Fayetteville, he has a goal and an assist. Loven made his ECHL debut during the 2023-24 season with the Toledo Walleye. In 15 games with Toledo, he would put up one assist.

Prior to going pro, Loven spent five seasons at the NCAA Level. He began his NCAA career at Northern Michigan University. In 81 games with the Wildcats, he put up eight goals and 15 assists for 23 points in 81 games. The East Grand Forks, Minnesota, native would then head to the University of St. Thomas, where he recorded 11 goals and 11 assists for 22 points in 44 games with the Tommies. Loven finished his NCAA career at Canisius College, where he had three goals and nine assists for 12 points in 32 games. The Eagles would win the AHA Championship in 2023.
