ECHL: Greenville Swamp Rabbits Name Kyle Mountain as Assistant Coach

Greenville, SC—As the 2023-24 season approaches opening night, the Swamp Rabbits are building up a roster of new and returning players. But regarding coaching, the announcement has been made for Head Coach and Assistant Coach: Andrew Lord will return as HC, and Kyle Mountain will be the assistant coach. Kyle Mountain, 32, has had a lot of experience as a coach in the hockey setting. Before being named AC with the Rabbits, Mountain spent two seasons as the assistant coach at Neumann University before being promoted to head coach, a position he held for six seasons. Prior to his coaching career, he spent three seasons at the University of Vermont and spent his final collegiate season at the University of Nebraska-Omaha; in those four seasons, he put up two goals and five assists for seven points in 60 games. Mountain replaces Mason Baptista, who took an assistant coaching position with the Green Bay Gamblers in the USHL. Baptista spent the 2019-20 season as a player-assistant coach, then joined the Swamp Rabbits coaching staff last season.

The Swamp Rabbits opening night game is on October 21 at Bon Secours Wellness Arena.
