ECHL: Grizzlies Acquire Cole Gallant From Trade With Trois-Rivieres

The Utah Grizzlies have acquired Cole Gallant from the Trois-Rivieres Lions in exchange for future considerations. Gallant played his entire time in the NCAA with Western Michigan University. His first year with the college was in 2018-19. Throughout 160 games in the five years with Western Michigan Univ., Cole Gallant put up 27 goals and 71 assists for 98 points.

In his first year with Western Michigan University, Gallant recorded three goals and seven assists for ten points in 26 games. In 2019-20, he obtained four goals and 16 assists for 20 points in 31 games. The following season, Cole secured five goals and 13 assists for 18 points in 25 games. In 2021-22, in 39 games, Gallant put up nine goals and 17 assists for 26 points. In his final year, which was in 2022-23, he recorded six goals and 18 assists for 24 points, also in 39 games.

Cole Gallant’s only year in the ECHL was last season with Trois-Rivieres, in which he scored two goals and had two assists for a total of four points in just seven games. The Utah Grizzlies will be looking to add to their depth by acquiring a player like Gallant.
