ECHL: Idaho Steelheads Announce 2023-24 Season-Ending Rosters

The Idaho Steelheads have announced their end-of-season roster. Teams are allowed to have up to 20 players on their end-of-season roster. Idaho’s roster consists of 13 forwards and seven defensemen. Of these 20 players, the Steelheads can reserve the rights of the players and give eight of them qualifying offers by July 7. Of the eight that receive qualifying offers, no more than four can be players who are veteran status. The qualifying offers remain open to the players until July 22.

Forwards (13)

Jack Becker – Jack Becker played in 39 games with the Idaho Steelheads in the 2023-24 season where he had 16 goals and 21 assists for 37 points. He had 18 penalty minutes and a plus/minus of +11.

Brendan Hoffman – Brendan Hoffman did not play with the Steelheads during the 2023-24 season, as his rights were acquired by the team on June 20 at the future considerations deadline. Hoffman played the 2023-24 season with the Reading Royals and Atlanta Gladiators. Between the two teams, Hoffman played in 61 games where he had nine goals and 15 assists for 24 points. He had 53 penalty minutes and a plus/minus of -13.

Jordan Kawaguchi – Jordan Kawaguchi played in 29 games with the Idaho Steelheads in the 2023-24 season where he had eight goals and 23 assists for 31 points. HE had 28 penalty minutes and a plus/minus of +17. In the playoffs, Kawaguchi played in nine games for the Steelheads where he had four goals and four assists for eight points. HE had six penalty minutes and a plus/minus of +5.

Willie Knierim – In the 2023-24 season, Willie Knierim played in his third season with the Idaho Steelheads. He played in 48 games where he had 18 goals and nine assists for 27 points. He had 57 penalty minutes and a plus/minus of +4. Knierim played in five games with the Idaho Steelheads in the playoffs where he had zero goals and one assist for one point. He had six penalty minutes and a plus/minus of 0.

Demetrios Koumontzis – In his first full professional season with the Idaho Steelheads, Demetrios Koumontzis played in 47 games where he had nine goals and ten assists for 19 points. He had 36 penalty minutes and a plus/minus of +16. In the playoffs, Koumontzis played in five games where he had zero goals and one assist for one point. He had two penalty minutes and a plus/minus of -2.

Lynden McCallum – Lynden McCallum joined the Steelheads for the 2023-24 season playing in 22 games where he had six goals and five assists for 11 points. He had 14 penalty minutes and a plus/minus of -11. He played in ten playoff games with the Steelheads where he had one goal and one assist for two points. He had zero penalty minutes and a plus/minus of -2.

Jade Miller – Jade Miller played in 36 games with the Idaho Steelheads in the 2023-24 season. He had six goals and seven assists for 13 points along with 37 penalty minutes and a plus/minus of +1. In the playoffs, Miller played in six games where he had zero goals and one assist for one point. He had four penalty minutes and a plus/minus of -1.

Wade Murphy – In his second season with the Idaho Steelheads, Wade Murphy played in 52 games where he had 25 goals and 41 assists for 66 points. He had 75 penalty minutes and a plus/minus of +30. In the playoffs, Murphy played in ten games where he had five goals and six assists for 11 points. He had eight penalty minutes and a plus/minus of +4.

Connor Mylymok – Connor Mylymok started the 2023-24 season finishing up his collegiate career at Niagara University. At Niagara University, Mylymok played in 37 games where he had six goals and five assists for 11 points. He had 61 penalty minutes and a plus/minus of -1. After finishing his collegiate career, Mylymok joined the Steelheads where he played in 11 games. He had three goals and zero assists for three points with 36 penalty minutes and a plus/minus of -2. In the playoffs, Mylymok played in nine games with the Steelheads where he had zero goals and one assist for one point. He had 14 penalty minutes and a plus/minus of -3.

Ty Pelton-Byce – In the 2023-24 season, Ty Pelton-Byce played in 57 games with the Idaho Steelheads where he had 17 goals and 43 assists for 60 points. He had 30 penalty minutes and a plus/minus of +24. Pelton-Byce played in the playoffs with the Steelheads playing in ten games where he had five goals and 11 assists for 16 points. He had six penalty minutes and a plus/minus of +2.

Mark Rassell – Mark Rassell joined the Idaho Steelheads for the 2023-24 season where he played in 43 games. He had 32 goals and 16 assists for 48 points with zero penalty minutes and a plus/minus of +16. In the playoffs, Rassell played in ten games with the Steelheads where he had five goals and six assists for 11 points. He had two penalty minutes and a plus/minus of +3.

Sam Sternschein – Sam Sternschein started the 2023-24 season with the Toledo Walleye where he played one game and did not register a point or penalty minute and had a plus/minus of 0. Sternschein then joined the Idaho Steelheads where he played in 13 games registering one goal and three assists for four points. He had four penalty minutes and a plus/minus of +3.

AJ White – The 2023-24 season marked AJ White’s sixth season with the Steelheads and fifth season as the Steelheads captain. White played in 71 games where he had 27 goals and 39 assists for 66 points. He had eight penalty minutes and a plus/minus of +2. White played in ten playoff games with the Steelheads where he had three goals and three assists for six points. He had four penalty minutes and a plus/minus of +6.

Defensemen (7)

Nicholas Canade – In his second professional season and second season with the Idaho Steelheads, Nicholas Canade played in 62 games where he had six goals and 12 assists for 18 points. He had 109 penalty minutes and a plus/minus of +8. Canade played in eight playoff games with the Steelheads where he had one goal and one assist for two points with 18 penalty minutes and a plus/minus of -2.

Cody Haiskanen – Cody Haiskanen played in 28 games where he had two goals and 11 assists for 13 points. He had ten penalty minutes and a plus/minus of +14. In the playoffs, Haiskanen played in 19 games where he had one goal and one assist for two points. He had ten penalty minutes and a plus/minus of +1.

Reece Harsch – Reece Harsch started the 2023-24 season overseas playing for the Fife Flyers in the EIHL. After coming back to play hockey in North America, Harsch spent time with the Cincinnati Cyclones and Jacksonville Icemen before joining the Idaho Steelheads. With the Steelheads, Harsch played in four games where he had one goal and one assist for two points. He had two penalty minutes and a plus/minus of 0. Between the three teams, Harsch played in 37 games where he had four goals and five assists for nine points. He had 14 penalty minutes and a plus/minus of +5. Harsch played in eight playoff games with the Steelheads where he had one goal and two assists for three points. He had four penalty minutes and a plus/minus of +1.

Patrick Kudla – Patrick Kudla played in 60 games for the Steelheads during the 2023-24 season. He had ten goals and 50 assists for 60 points. He had 52 penalty minutes and a plus/minus of +18. During the playoffs, Kudla played in ten games for the Steelheads registering three goals and nine assists for 12 points with six penalty minutes and a plus/minus of +1.

Matt Register – In his second season with the Steelheads, Matt Register played in 71 games where he had ten goals and 54 assists for 64 points. He had 52 penalty minutes and a plus/minus of +20. Register played in ten playoff games with the Steelheads where he had two goals and two assists for four points. He had eight penalty minutes and a plus/minus of -4.

Romain Rodzinski – Romain Rodzinski started the 2023-24 season playing in USports at Concordia University where he played in five games and registered zero goals and four assists for four points with 20 penalty minutes. He then joined the Idaho Steelheads where he played in 40 games. Rodzinski had three goals and ten assists for 13 points through the 40 games with 31 penalty minutes and a plus/minus of -7.

Trevor Zins – Trevor Zins started the 2023-24 season in the ECHL with the Indy Fuel playing in 24 games where he had one goal and one assist for two points. He had 16 penalty minutes and a plus/minus of -5. After joining the Steelheads, Zins played in 34 games where he had three goals and six assists for nine points. He had 12 penalty minutes and a plus/minus of +13. In the playoffs, Zins played in nine games with the Steelheads where he had zero goals and one assist for one point. He had zero penalty minutes and a plus/minus of +2.
