Hoffmann then went to the OHL, where he spent four seasons with the Erie Otters. Hoffmann played in 189 games with the Otters, where he had 44 goals and 30 assists for 74 points with 115 penalty minutes and a -9.
Professional Career
After completing his junior career, Hoffmann signed his first professional contract in the ECHL, joining the Reading Royals. Hoffmann had a career year in the 2024-25 season, having a career high in goals, assists, and points. He was Idaho’s leading goal scorer and was fourth on the team in points and fifth in assists. Hoffmann’s offensive breakthrough has made him a very lethal player on the ice for the Steelheads. On top of his offense, Hoffmann can play a very physical game, laying hits, playing in the corners, and forcing opponents off the puck. While he does not drop the gloves very often, Hoffmann is not afraid to when his team needs him to.
