ECHL: Indy Fuel Add Holden Wale To Roster

The Indy Fuel announced that they’ve signed defenseman Holden Wale for the 2025-26 season. Wale, 25, spent his rookie season with the Rapid City Rush. He put up three goals and 13 assists for 16 points in 68 games. He becomes the fourth defenseman and ninth player to sign with the Fuel for the 2025-26 season.

Prior to going pro, the Brantford, Ontario, native began his junior career in the OHL with the SOO Greyhounds and Kitchener Rangers. As a member of the Greyhounds, he put up seven goals and 25 assists for 32 points in 139 games. Wale would add a goal and five assists for six points in 17 OHL Playoff games with the Greyhounds. He would be traded to Kitchener in January 2020. In 23 games with the Rangers, he put up a goal and five assists for six points.

Once his OHL career was over, Wale would take the USports route as he played three years at the University of Windsor. In 72 games with the Lancers, he would put up 13 goals and 39 assists for 52 points. In his first season with the University of Windsor, he was named to the OUA West All-Rookie Team, and in his final season with the Lancers, he was named to the OUA West First All-Star Team. He would also lead all Lancer defensemen in all offensive categories in his final year with the team. Wale would add a goal and five assists for six points in 11 playoff games.
