ECHL: Indy Fuel Defenseman Headed to Austria

As the season comes to a close and players head home for the Summer, some players are deciding the future of their careers. For Fuel defenseman Ross MacDougall, that time has come. It was announced via the BEMER Pioneers Vorarlberg X account that Ross MacDougall has signed with the club. Pioneers Vorarlberg is part of the ICEHL in Austria, where other ECHL’ers such as Patrick Grasso of the Adirondack Thunder, Jason Williams of the Toledo Walleye, and Joseph Nardi of the Reading Royals have also taken their services. Nardi and MacDougall will both be joining Pioneers Vorarlberg.

MacDougall spent the last two seasons with the Fuel, playing in 57 regular-season games and scoring seven goals and 22 assists. MacDougall becomes the second Fuel blueliner to head overseas behind Matthew Cairns.
