ECHL: Indy Fuel Re-Sign Goaltender Cam Gray

The Indy Fuel have announced that they’ve re-signed goaltender Cam Gray for the 2023-24 ECHL season. Gray spent his collegiate career at Adrian College, where he went 53-9-2 with a 2.34 GAA, .912 SV%, and six shutouts. Gray led the Bulldogs to a Divison III National Championship in his final season at Adrian.

In 2022, Gray eventually got to play two games in the ECHL. This was with the Fort Wayne Komets. He had a GAA of 3.48 and a .902 save percentage in those two games played with the Komets. In the 2022-23 season with the Indy Fuel, Cam Gray achieved an even save percentage of .900 and a goals-against average of 2.93 in 11 games.

It’s a good thing for the Indy Fuel to have a goalie like Cam Gray return for the upcoming ECHL season. Gray is a consistent netminder, and he’ll most likely have a good 2023-24 season with the Fuel. Heading into next season, Gray will have some familiar company as Sam Ruffin, Andrew Bellant, and Matus Spodniak all spent time at Adrian College while Gray was there. Here’s what he had to say on re-signing with Indy:

“I am very excited to be back with the Fuel for the upcoming season. Indy is a special place, and I look forward to being back together with the guys and getting to work. See you in October and Let’s Go Fuel!”
