
The Indy Fuel have announced that they’ve signed forward Lee Lapid for the 2025-26 season. Lapid, 27, had 10 goals and 17 assists for 27 points in 44 games last season with the Kalamazoo Wings. He was also an alternate captain for the K-Wings last season. With the signing of Lapid, the Fuel now have nine forwards and five defensemen signed for the 2025-26 season.
Lapid began his career with the Cincinnati Cyclones. In 93 games with the Cyclones, he put up 21 goals and 48 assists for 69 points. He would add a goal and four assists for five points in 11 games during the 2023 Kelly Cup Playoffs. After 34 games with Cincinnati during the 2023-24 season, he would make the choice to finish the season in Finland. During his 14-game stint in Liiga with SaiPa, he would put up two goals before returning to North America to join the K-Wings.
Junior and NCAA Career
Prior to going pro, the Thornhill, Ontario, native spent three seasons in the OJHL with the Toronto Jr. Canadiens and the Toronto Patriots. In 144 OJHL games, Lapid would record 49 goals and 55 assists for 104 points. He would add three goals and eight assists for 11 points in 23 OJHL playoff games. In 2017, he was named the OJHL Scholastic Player of the Year. Lapid would then head to the NCAA, which spent four seasons at Canisius College. In 97 games with the Golden Griffins, he would put up 30 goals and 31 assists for 61 points.
