ECHL: Indy Fuel Sign Ryan Kenny

The Indy Fuel have announced that they’ve signed goaltender Ryan Kenny for the 2025-26 season. Kenny, 26, spent the majority of last season in the SPHL with the Fayetteville Marksmen. In 42 games with the Marksmen, he put up a 23-10-7 record with a 2.75 GAA, .917SV%, and three shutouts. Kenny also started two games during the playoffs for the Marksmen, taking the loss in both of those games. He made two starts at the ECHL level, one with the South Carolina Stingrays and one with the Fuel. In his start with Indy, he pitched a 21-save shutout. Kenny is the first goaltender signed by the Fuel for the 2025-26 season.

The Fort Lauderdale, Florida native has spent the majority of his short career at the SPHL with the Marksmen. In 74 games with Fayetteville, he’s put up a 41-20-11 record with a 2.59 GAA, .922SV%, and five shutouts. During his rookie year with the Marksmen, he led the SPHL in SV% (.929) and was named to the SPHL All-Rookie Team. In four career SPHL playoff games, he has an 0-4 record with a 3.93 GAA and .887SV%.

Kenny has also seen action at the ECHL level with the Reading Royals, Atlanta Gladiators, South Carolina Stingrays, and Indy Fuel. In his six games in the ECHL, he has posted a 1-2-2 record with a 3.95 GAA, an 8.48 SV%, and one shutout.

NCAA Career

Prior to going pro, Kenny played four years at Stevenson University. In 83 games with the Mustangs, he put up a 52-22-4-7 record with a 2.44 GAA, .917SV%, and seven shutouts. He is currently the all-time leader in saves for Stevenson University. Over the course of his four years, Kenny would win back-to-back defensive and goaltender of the year awards. He would also be named to the MAC First Team All-Conference team in each of his four years with the Mustangs.
