The Herning Blue Fox have made a notable addition to their 2025–26 roster, signing Canadian forward Kyle Maksimovich. The 27-year-old from Hamilton, Ontario, brings speed, skill, and a proven scoring touch to Denmark’s top professional league after a strong showing in both the ECHL and AHL.

Offense That Speaks for Itself

Maksimovich spent the last three seasons with the Indy Fuel, becoming a reliable offensive threat. In 2023–24, he posted 26 goals and 33 assists for 59 points over 67 regular-season games, adding five points in five playoff appearances. He followed up with another productive year in 2024–25, recording 16 goals and 18 assists in 55 games while playing key minutes in all situations. Across his ECHL career, he totaled 132 regular-season games, notching 44 goals and 55 assists for 99 points. He also appeared in nine playoff games, contributing six total points.

AHL Experience

In addition to his ECHL success, Maksimovich saw limited action in the AHL with the Rockford IceHogs, appearing in seven total games between 2023 and 2025. While his role at the AHL level was more depth-focused, the experience helped sharpen his pace, compete level, and two-way details.

University Standout with a Scorer’s Touch

Before turning pro, Maksimovich played four seasons at the University of Prince Edward Island, where he was a consistent point-per-game contributor. Over 78 USports contests, he tallied 37 goals and 65 assists for 102 points, including multiple playoff performances that showcased his ability to elevate his game in high-stakes moments.

What Maksimovich Brings to Herning

At 5-foot-10 and 181 pounds, Maksimovich isn’t the biggest forward on the ice, but he compensates with exceptional edge work, offensive instincts, and playmaking vision. Comfortable playing both wings, he brings versatility to Herning’s top-six forward group and will likely factor into their power play as well. His North American experience, combined with a high hockey IQ and quick release, make him a dangerous addition as the Blue Fox aim to climb the Metal Ligaen standings.
