ECHL: Jacksonville Icemen Forward Sent to AHL

The Jacksonville Icemen, affiliates with the AHL Rochester Americans and NHL Buffalo Sabres, announced today that forward Damien Giroux has been recalled to the Rochester Americans. Giroux heads back to Rochester, where he previously recorded six points ( four goals and two assists ) during his 15 games played this season. Giroux has accounted for 15 points this season with the Jacksonville Icemen, scoring seven goals and assisting in eight. Giroux has played 17 games with the Icemen so far. 

Prior to the Icemen, Giroux spent three seasons with the Iowa Wild, where he totaled 48 points with 13 goals and 35 assists during his 149 games there. Giroux has seen the ice with the NHL. He was pulled up by the Minnesota Wild for one game. Giroux accounted for one assist during the game. 

Icemen will be back on the road Wednesday, February 28th at 7 pm against the Atlanta Gladiators. Jacksonville will be back at home on Saturday, March 2nd and 3rd, vs the Orlando Solar Bears. Puck drop will be 7 pm on March 2nd and 3 pm on March 3rd.
