ECHL: Jimmy Glynn Returns to Kansas City Mavericks

The Kansas City Mavericks have re-signed 5’11” forward Jimmy Glynn for the 2025-26 season.

Junior and Collegiate Career

Jimmy Glynn started his junior career in the NAHL Philadelphia Rebels. Glynn spent one season with the Rebels before they were relocated and renamed the Jamestown Rebels. Glynn then spent one season with the Jamestown Rebels. In 106 NAHL games, Glynn had 15 goals and 33 assists for 48 points with 94 penalty minutes and a +23. He had four goals and three assists with six penalty minutes and a +4 in ten games.

After two seasons, Glynn then went to the USHL for a season where he played for the Dubuque Fighting Saints. In 45 games, he registered seven goals and 11 assists for 18 points with 16 penalty minutes and a +7.

Glynn then went on to start his collegiate career playing Division I hockey at the University of Nebraska-Omaha (UNO). He spent five seasons with the Mavericks where he played in 162 games registering 28 goals and 29 assists for 57 points with 77 penalty minutes and a -14. In his final season at UNO, Glynn was fifth in goals on the team with eight.

Professional Career

After completing the 2024-25 season with the Mavericks, Glynn extended his season and time as a Maverick, playing with the Kansas City Mavericks in the ECHL. He had one goal and six assists with four penalty minutes and a +5 in ten games with the Mavericks. He had two assists with two penalty minutes and a +2 in six playoff games.

Jimmy Glynn is a defensive forward who has a good and quick shot from the circles. Glynn also provides a lot of speed, allowing him to get up and down the ice quickly. Glynn is still very young and does not have a lot of experience in the ECHL, so it may take time for him to settle in and find his game, but he should be a great forward for the Mavericks.
